Paid research internship opportunities for equity students

Until Tuesday 11 August, domestic students from equity backgrounds can apply for one of up to 10 research internships with the Macquarie Undergraduate Research Internship (MURI)

Operating in Session 2 of 2015, MURI offers successful applicants a six-month paid research internship overseen by an academic.

Students may apply for an existing project or devise and submit their own with the aid of an academic sponsor.

Eligibility
Applicants must be a domestic student who can satisfy and verify one (or more) of the following criteria:

  • has relocated from a regional or remote area
  • be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Low socio-economic status/experiencing financial hardship (incl. Youth Allowance)
  • is impacted by a disability or medical condition
  • come from non-English speaking background
