Holiday fun for kids at Macquarie

There is always plenty going on at Macquarie and the school holidays are no exception. If you have primary school-aged kids, there is fun to be had here on campus.

Mini MacWarrior Holiday Program
Keep the kids fit, active and entertained at the Sport and Aquatic Centre! Whether your children are looking to learn a new sport or pursue a new activity in a fun, friendly and safe environment, this program has something in store for them.

Macquarie University Vacation Care
Registrations are now open for Macquarie University Vacation Care, commencing Monday 29 June to Friday 10 July.

Ensure your child has an enjoyable and educational holiday experience with activities ranging from soccer, Movies at Macquarie and Mud Day! And, don’t forget to pack their dancing shoes for ‘Dance Fever’ sessions!

Junior Science Academy
This popular program is designed to help children develop their understanding of science concepts and extend their school science learning in a fun, hands-on way. The program is supported by Faculty of Science and Engineering academic staff and delivered by final-year University student teachers, and is aligned with the NSW science curriculum. There are some exciting new topics these holidays including ‘DNA and Evolution’ and ‘Geology Rocks!’ The popular topics of ‘Chemistry, Robotics and Magnets’, and ‘Light and Sound Waves’ are also back.

Age Group: Primary school children from Year 3 upwards (ages 8 to 12).
When: 29 June – 3 July and 6 – 10 July (excluding Wednesdays)

FIRST Australia RoboCamps
Know a budding engineer of the future? RoboCamps are a unique and innovative way to engage children in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). RoboCamps are run by FIRST Australia, part of the largest robotics for sport organisation in the world. The camps are run professionally with fun and education at the very core of what we do.

Age Group: All school children from Kindy-Year 12
