Academic staff who are considering applying for a promotion to the next level are invited to learn more at upcoming information sessions about the academic promotion process.

Applying for promotion to Associate Professor and Professor information session
When: Thursday 7 May
Time: 9.15am – 2pm
Where: McKenzie Room, Level 3, Campus Hub (C10A)

Applying for promotion to Lecturer and Senior Lecturer information session
When: Friday 15 May
Time: 9.30am – 2pm
Where: Manly Room, Level 4, C5C

These sessions will assist you with preparing a strong application for promotion, and will cover:

• the promotion process and criteria
• preparing for promotion, including preparing your promotion portfolio, selecting referees and preparing for an interview
• writing your research case, and Library support with tracking your research data
• writing your teaching case
• how to address community engagement criteria
• equity and diversity considerations in academic promotion
• reflections from previously successful applicants.
