Review of the Centre for Open Education

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is undertaking an internal review of the Centre for Open Education (COE). The review panel is seeking and considering university-wide feedback against the following terms of reference:

  • consider the current role and activities that COE performs for the University;
  • make recommendations for the future role of COE, and the appropriate location for its operational activities; and
  • explore development opportunities for COE.

Written submissions are invited from all staff.

Submissions should be sent to Laura Heron (laura.heron@mq.edu.au) Secretary for the Review, by Monday 13 March 2015. Submissions will be treated in confidence and only be sighted by the secretary and the review panel itself. No anonymous submissions will be accepted. The review panel may request further information on submissions, or the person making the submission may be asked to attend a panel interview.

The review panel will be interviewing a number of stakeholders from across the Macquarie university community. If you would like to be considered for an interview please contact Laura Heron (laura.heron@mq.edu.au) by 13 March 2015.

If you wish to see a copy of the COE Self-Evaluation Review report, which will be available from 24 February 2015, or if you have further questions, please contact Laura Heron (laura.heron@mq.edu.au).

Note: The Quality Enhancement Committee (QEC) review process is for academic areas only. For this reason, the internal review supersedes a planned QEC review of COE.
