Help shape our student experience

The University Experience Survey is a Department of Education initiative to help ensure ongoing improvement in the quality of learning and teaching in Australian universities. The survey focuses on aspects of the student experience linked with learning and development outcomes. The results from this survey will help universities and government to improve the student experience in Australian higher education.

Why we are involved
The survey is a part of the Federal Government’s Upholding Quality in Higher Education initiative, and all universities are required to participate.

Who will be surveyed?
A random sample of 11,000 current first and final year undergraduate students will be sent invitations.

What is the time frame?
The survey opens today (Monday 11 August) and will close in mid-September.

What you need to be aware of
The Government has a required response rate of 35%. Staff are encouraged to promote this survey to their undergraduate students as the data obtained from the UES plays a key role in improving the quality of the student experience at Macquarie.
