Seeking: tutorial assistance for Indigenous students

The Department of Indigenous Studies in conjunction with the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS), is seeking tutors to work one-on-one with Indigenous students in a variety of disciplines, during Session 2.

ITAS is a Commonwealth funded program specifically designed to help close the gaps between Indigenous and non-Indigenous university student completion rates. It provides supplementary tutorial assistance to eligible Indigenous students enrolled in a formal course of study at Macquarie.

To be eligible, tutors must have completed a minimum of three years of tertiary education, have good verbal and written communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of Indigenous Australian students.

Tutors are paid a rate of $50.36 per hour,  or $58.97 per hour for those with a PhD.
