Taiwan Travel Grant

The donors have established the Scholarship Fund to provide support for domestic and international students enrolled at Macquarie University who intend to undertake study abroad at a university in Taiwan, or participate in a short-term academic program in Taiwan, as part of their undergraduate or postgraduate degree. The Fund aims to foster a deeper understanding and immersion in Taiwanese culture.

About the scholarship

Funded by the Australia Taiwan Culture Foundation, the grant aims to deepen students’ understanding of Taiwan’s culture, society, politics and language, and to foster long-term people-to-people ties between Australia and Taiwan.

One-off award paid in the first study period.

Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian or International Student.
  • Be commencing or continuing student, enrolled part-time or full-time.
  • Continuing students must have maintained a minimum WAM of 60.
  • Be enrolled in Faculty of Arts (FOA) programs, including those undertaking double degrees, provided at least one of their degrees is within the Faculty.
  • Have received a Confirmation or offer of participation in an intended exchange or short-term program in Taiwan, facilitated by the Mobility team.
