About the scholarship
The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG, together with his partner Johan van Vloten have made significant contributions and shown longstanding commitment to social justice and human rights.
Duration
This scholarship is available for up to 3 years for an Undergraduate student, subject to ongoing eligibility criteria.
Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.
- Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate law degree within the Macquarie University Law School in Session 1, 2026.
- Have completed 160 credit points or more in an undergraduate law degree within the Macquarie University Law School.
- Hold a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75 or higher.
- Have lodged an Equity Scholarship application through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). More information on the application process can be found on the UAC Equity Scholarship website.
- Be able to demonstrate financial hardship.
