This scholarship is awarded for up to 52 weeks, subject to meeting ongoing eligibility criteria.

Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa.
  • Be a commencing or continuing full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate or psograduate degree at Macquarie University in Session 1, 2026.
  • Demonstrate financial need through the submission of a UAC Equity Scholarship application.
  • Provide evidence of academic motivation and satisfactory academic progress.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, from a regional or remote area, first in their family to attend university, or students with a disability.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to engage in the residential community and comply with EPIISOD standards.

Complete the online Macquarie University Scholarship application form and the Application via the UAC Equity Scholarship Application Portal. Macquarie University will be participating in the January Equity Scholarship (ES) Offer Round for course commencement in Session 1 2026.
