About the scholarship

The Macquarie Advantage Regional Pathway Scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students from regional and remote areas, improving access to higher education at Macquarie University.

Duration

This scholarship is awarded for up to 4 years, subject to meeting ongoing eligibility criteria.

Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa.
  • Be a commencing or continuing full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate degree at Macquarie University with on-campus study requirements.
  • Be from a regional and remote area.
  • Demonstrate financial need, including eligibility for or receipt of Youth Allowance or other means-tested Commonwealth income support payments (via a UAC Equity Scholarship application).
  • Consideration is given to factors that may shape students' educational pathways, including Indigenous background, carer responsibilities, disability or health condition, and relevant personal circumstances.

How to apply

Applications are available via the UAC Equity Scholarship Application Portal. Macquarie University will be participating in the following Equity Scholarship (ES) Offer Rounds for course commencement in Session 1 2027:

  • November Round: Apply by Friday, 13 November 2026, 11:59pm
  • December Round: Apply by Tuesday, 10 December 2026, 11:59pm
  • January Round: Apply by Thursday 08 January 2027, 11:59pm
  • Scholarship places may be exhausted prior to the January 2027 offer round. To avoid disappointment, we recommend submitting your application before this round.
  • Only one application is required for the admission year. Your application will remain active and will be considered in each offer round within the same admission period.
