Heidi is a clinical psychologist and researcher who has been with the Emotional Health Clinic for over 20 years. Her research focuses on improving assessment and treatment methods for emotional problems experienced by children and adolescents.

Heidi has an interest in developing the competency and training of mental health professionals and oversees the accreditation of professionals in the Cool Kids Suite globally.

In conjunction with our clinic-based training for early career psychologists, she aims to ensure that when a family seeks help, they have the best chance to access well-trained, confident therapists whether locally, nationally or internationally.

    Keila is a clinical psychologist. She holds a PhD in Psychology and a Masters in Health Psychology.

    A dedicated member of the Anxiety Practitioners Network (APN), she brings specialized expertise to the assessment and treatment of anxiety and emotional disorders across the lifespan – covering children, teenagers, and adults.

    Keila adeptly guides clients facing an array of anxiety and emotional challenges, delivering support both individually and through group sessions. Her approach is deeply rooted in her belief in crafting services that precisely match each client’s unique needs, all while staying abreast of the latest research findings to ensure the highest level of care.

      Angela completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University and is now completing the Clinical Psychology Registrar program for endorsement as a clinical psychologist.

      Angela has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and emotional disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Angela predominantly uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and draws on other evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to the individual needs of each client.

      Angela facilitates the Cool Kids and Chilled Anxiety Program, a structured intervention program based on CBT aimed at teaching young people (ages 7–17) and their carers how to better manage a young person’s anxiety.

      Angela is passionate about providing culturally informed psychological services and has experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Angela speaks English and Chinese Mandarin.

        Merel is a clinical psychologist who completed her Masters in Psychology at the Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

        She is a member of the Anxiety Practitioners Network and attends conferences and specialist training to keep her knowledge up to date to ensure she gives her clients the best possible treatment. Merel’s approach to treatment is predominantly based on CBT, ACT and Mindfulness.

        Merel treats children, adolescents and families. She is passionate about helping young people feel better about themselves and their lives and has a particular interest in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, self esteem issues and interpersonal problems.

          Tia is a clinical psychology registrar who has completed a Master of Clinical Psychology and is currently completing the registrar program for endorsement as a clinical psychologist. Tia practices from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework and draws upon other modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy where needed.

          Tia assesses and treats anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and related emotional difficulties in children, adolescents, and adults. In particular, she loves working with children and adolescents, and facilitates the Cool Kids Anxiety Program at the clinic.

          She is passionate about combining a strong therapeutic relationship, warm and safe environment, and evidence-based treatment so that clients may overcome difficulties and live their lives to the fullest.

            Roxi is a clinical psychologist who completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Wollongong. She has experience with CBT, ACT, DBT, and Schema Therapy but predominantly works from a CBT perspective.

            Roxi has interests in assisting young people, and their families, with long-term management of mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on stress management, emotional and behavioural concerns. She is involved with the clinic’s Cool Kids and Chilled anxiety management group programs adapted for autistic young people.

            Roxi has limited availability due to external work commitments.

              Jennifer Kashro is a registered psychologist with experience in the areas of anxiety, trauma, study stress and related emotional and behavioural difficulties with clients across the lifespan.

              Jennifer works within an evidence-based framework to achieve meaningful change, focusing primarily on using a cognitive-behavioural therapy approach including trauma-focused CBT and drawing on other evidence-based therapies where appropriate.

              In addition to working directly with clients, Jennifer supports research trials focused on evaluating current evidence-based therapies for children who experience anxiety and delivers Study Without Stress student workshops and parent presentations. These workshops aim to help students and their parents to understand study stress during their final years of secondary school.

              She has a particular interest in working with young people and trauma and works to establish a warm and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

                Anna is a Clinical Psychologist who has completed a doctoral thesis examining the nature of parent-child interaction in children with autism and anxiety.

                Anna works primarily within a CBT framework, and also draws on other therapy approaches as appropriate.

                Anna treats anxiety and related emotional and behavioural difficulties in children, adolescents and adults and has a particular interest in working with children with comorbid autism spectrum disorder and anxiety.

                Anna is committed to establishing a warm and collaborative therapeutic relationship with each client and is focused on working together within an evidence-based framework to achieve positive change.

                  Brita is a clinical psychologist who completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University and has conducted research on youth identity relating to gender and career choices, on emotions and attachment in romantic relationships, and in using CBT and other evidence-based therapies to help clients re-engage in meaningful activities.

                  Brita has been a clinician on several clinical trials; treating young people who experience anxiety, low mood and somatic (physical) symptoms such as headaches, stomach aches, nausea and fatigue; as well as treating children together with their parents for difficulties with emotion regulation (eg meltdowns).

                  Brita is PANS/PANDAS aware and has an interest in the treatment of mental health difficulties that co-occur with physical health issues.

                  Brita works with children, adolescents and adults, and values working collaboratively with clients and the people who support them through respectful and compassionate connections.

                    Lauren is a clinical psychologist who has completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology and has had further specialised training in trauma informed care and anxiety management. Lauren has worked across a variety of clinical settings, including university clinics, hospital inpatient and outpatient units, and in private practice.

                    Lauren has experience and training in the psychological assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. She utilises evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT and Schema Therapy.

                    Lauren is a compassionate, warm, and empathic clinician who believes in the importance of providing an empowering, safe, and nurturing therapeutic space to support meaningful change. She is dedicated to working collaboratively with others to ensure that treatment is personalised to suit the unique needs and goals for each individual.

                      Ben has experience and training in the psychological assessment and treatment of adults and older adults. He uses evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT and ACT and has expertise in addressing anxiety, mood, and suicide-related issues across the lifespan.

                        At the Emotional Health Clinic, Susanne works solely with the Cool Kids and Chilled Anxiety Program, a structured intervention program aimed to teach young people (aged 7–17) and their carers how to better manage a young person’s anxiety.

                        She is passionate about working with young people and their families and strives to develop a trusting and therapeutic relationship with her clients to collaboratively work towards conquering fears and worries.

                          Mia is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who has completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at Sydney University and a PhD at Macquarie University, where her research explored the therapeutic relationship and motivational factors that may improve treatment outcomes.

                          Mia has experience working with individuals of all ages, from children to older adults, and in a variety of clinical settings, including university clinics, hospital inpatient and outpatient units.

                          Mia predominantly uses a cognitive-behavioural approach and draws on her experience with other individual and family-based treatment modalities depending on the needs of the individual. She is involved in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults who experience difficulties with anxiety, depression, and emotion regulation.

                          Mia works collaboratively with clients to achieve their treatment goals and enjoys thinking of creative ways to help people get the most out of their therapy experience.

                            Chris is a clinical psychology registrar who completed his Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University. He has experience working in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, particularly focused on the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders and emotional regulation difficulties. He has particular experience working with adults and children with social and performance/public speaking anxiety.

                            Chris’ therapeutic approach is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), though he draws on experience with other evidence-based individual and family-based modalities to suit therapeutic goals. Chris is committed to creating a collaborative, warm, and (where appropriate) fun environment in which individuals can feel supported to work towards meaningful change.

                              Dino is a clinical psychologist who holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Psychology.

                              With a background across diverse inpatient and outpatient contexts, Dino’s therapeutic approach centres mainly on CBT. Complementing this foundation, he seamlessly integrates various evidence-based interventions when appropriate, all aimed at aiding clients in rediscovering purposeful activities.

                              His expertise lies in evaluating and addressing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and trauma and stressor-related issues among children, teenagers, adults, and seniors. Dino’s commitment resonates with delivering a service grounded in the latest research findings, meticulously customized to each client’s distinct requirements.
