Quantum computing scholarship
Funded by the Australian Research Council, the scholarship will be awarded to students of exceptional research potential to undertake research aligned with one of the centre’s projects.
The ARC Training Centre for Future Leaders in Quantum Computing (FLiQC) scholarship is designed to support several outstanding PhD scholars who are highly motivated to drive groundbreaking advancements in quantum computing.

The scholarships will support centre research projects across the full stack of quantum computer technologies, including:
- devices
- algorithms
- architectures.
Candidates will benefit and gain valuable experience as part of this cohort of research students at FLiQC partner universities and through participation in the programs run by our delivery partner, Sydney Quantum Academy.
Availability
This scholarship is available to eligible candidates to undertake PhD research supervised by one of the Chief Investigators of FLiQC.
Components
The value of each stipend scholarship is $41,753 per annum (2025 rate) for up to four years.
Candidates will also participate in:
- industry-based placements with our industry partners
- a professional development program.
