About the scholarship
The research will focus on four integrated areas:
- real-world asset tokenisation architecture
- an AI-governed compliance framework
- an agentic DeFi and yield-discovery platform
- fit and stablecoin interfaces.
It will examine the tokenisation, valuation and lifecycle management of assets such as mortgages, fixed-income securities, managed investment products and structured investments, with particular attention to risk-return characteristics, liquidity, investor eligibility and regulatory compliance.
The project will combine academically rigorous finance research with applied systems development, including:
- asset pricing and portfolio analysis
- credit and liquidity risk modelling
- AI-driven yield discovery
- smart-contracting prototyping
- regulatory analysis
- multi-currency treasury management.
Expected outputs may include:
- PhD theses and publishable research papers
- confidential technical and financial reports for AIMS
- prototype AI and blockchain systems
- practical frameworks for investment analysis, compliant trading, stablecoin reserve management, and phased implementation within AIMS, FloatX and the Sydney Stock Exchange.
Availability
This scholarship is available to eligible candidates to undertake a four-year MRes + PhD program.
Components
The scholarship comprises a living allowance stipend.
The value of each stipend scholarship is $45,000 per annum (full time, indexed) for four years.
