Aim

The objectives of the CRC-P Grants scheme are to assist in:

  1. supporting science, research, and commercialisation; and
  2. enabling growth and productivity for globally competitive industries.

The scheme aims to:

  • improve the competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of Australian industries, especially where Australia has a competitive strength, and in line with Government Priorities.
  • foster high quality research to solve industry-identified problems through industry-led and outcome-focused collaborative research partnerships between Industry Entities and Research Organisations.
  • encourage and facilitate Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) participation in collaborative research.

About the CRC-P initiative

Funding Stream

Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) Grants support short-term industry-led research collaborations.  CRC-Ps can be up to a maximum of three years in duration and request a maximum of $3M in funding.

Resources (cash and in-kind) must be contributed by the partners and at least match the amount of funding requested.

Projects must:

  • develop a product, service or process that will solve problems for industry and deliver real outcomes
  • benefit small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

The funding can be used to cover costs directly related to your project including:

  • new research
  • proof of concept activities
  • pre-commercialisation of research outcomes
  • industry-focused education and training activities
  • conferences, workshops, symposia related to the joint research
  • information sharing and communications related to the research.

This is not a complete list, and other costs may also be eligible.

A CRC-P must have at least:

  • two Australian industry organisations including at least one small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) and
  • one Australian research organisation

Lead Applicant: The application must be submitted by an SME, not by a university or research organisation.

Further information on CRC-P eligibility criteria is available in the CRC-P Grant Guidelines.
