MQU Pitch Program FAQs

To complete the program you must:
- complete the online self-paced modules on iLearn
- attend one of the pitch workshops facilitated by Tactician
- attend the IP workshop

No, we will provide several dates for you to choose from but you only need to attend one.

Yes, attending the IP workshop is compulsory and it is different from the Tactician workshop. You will need to attend this workshop to complete the program.

There are 5 modules to complete. Each module will take about 20 minutes. The Brené Brown video in unit two is 20 minutes long, however you do not have to watch the full video if you don't want to – just watch enough to get an idea of the pitching style.

There is no certificate of completion from the iLearn modules, you just need to watch and complete all modules.

No, you do not have to submit a pitch to complete the program. Although it is a great opportunity to gain feedback from our pitch experts from Tactician.

You must attend one of the pitch workshops to complete the program. We run multiple pitch programs throughout the year, so we would suggest registering for the next program should you not be able to attend one of the pitch workshops from this series. If this is the case please send us an email explaining your situation so we can keep track of your attendance.

Your badge and certificate will be emailed to you two/three weeks after the completion of the program to your student email.

No, only the first four pitches we receive for each workshops will be played.

Yes! Literally anything you want. You could do an elevator pitch for a potential job interview, sell a product or idea, do a business presentation...You can use slides or not, you can record through Zoom, your phone or any other device. The sky is the limit!

However, keep in mind that any information that is deemed offensive, degrading or against Macquarie University policy will not be accepted.
