Learn the art of pitching

Learn how to communicate your ideas succinctly, persuasively and authentically, allowing you to connect with – and influence – your listeners.

The Incubator’s Pitch Program will help you improve the delivery of your ideas. The program consists of:

  • 5 online and self-paced modules with video content, activities and an example of a great pitch using a winning pitch from the Student Pitch Competition
  • 1 workshop delivered by our professional team of pitch trainers who will give you feedback and tips on how to improve your presentation. You can choose to do it online or face to face
  • 1 Intellectual Property workshop to learn how to pitch your idea without giving away your IP

You must complete all the above to successfully complete the program. Upon completing the Pitch Program, you will be issued a digital badge to showcase the skills earned.

Online Modules include topics:

  • creating an emotional connection with your audience
  • gaining audience buy-in by communicating in a succinct and targeted way
  • how to sell an idea, service or product
  • how to structure a powerful and convincing pitch
  • how to use presentation techniques to improve the delivery of your message
  • an example of a great pitch with feedback provided by our pitch trainers

The program is free to all current Macquarie students.
Upon successful completion of the program, your participation will be recognised via digital credentials.

Submit an expression of interest.

By the end of the program you'll be able to:

  • identify the elements and structure to create a successful and compelling pitch
  • learn techniques to sell an idea, service or product
  • examine how to a design a pitch to suit a range of audiences and contexts
  • understand how to use gestural language to deliver a pitch
  • analyse the tactics to improve personal confidence
  • understand how to deliver a pitch and incorporate feedback to improve presentation and messaging utilising presentation techniques to improve message delivery

    • Online: 10 May from 2 - 3:30pm or,
    • Face to Face: 15 May from 10am - 12pm
  • IP Workshop (online): 9 May, 10 - 11am

Successful completion of the MQ Incubator Pitch Program will be credited 20 GLP points under GLX18 or GLX19.
