Saturday 4th. July 1812!
Set out for Parramatta and arrived there at 5. P.M. — The Roads very bad & deep. —

Thursday 9th. July
At 11. a.m. Set out for Windsor and arrived there at 3. P.M.

Friday 10th. July
Went to survey and line out the spot for erecting the new Bridge across the South Creek to Windsor – the Scite [sic] of the Toll-House – and the approach to the Town. — Went afterwards to survey and mark out the proper Place in Thompson's Square for erecting a Public Wharf at on the Bank of the Hawkesbury, being accompanied by James Harrax, who has promised to undertake the Job, after he has finished the New Bridge and the Turnpike Road to Windsor. — He has also undertaken to fill up the Hollows & chasms in Thompson Square. —

Saturday 11th. July —
I rode on Horseback to Richmond to look at the several Farms in that District.

Sunday 12th. July —
I rode in the Carriage with Mrs. M. after Church to Riverston Col: OConnell's Farm – disce. 5 miles.

Monday 13th. July —
At Noon Set out from Windsor, and at ¼ past 3. P.M. arrived at Parramatta. — On the way from Windsor, I stopped near Hillas's Farm, to survey proper Ground for the Toll-House and Inn to be erected halfway between Parramatta and Windsor, and have fixed on a spot within about 200 Yards of the Creek (at Hillas's) on the the Parramatta side thereof. —

Wedy. 15th. July 1812.
At ½ past 11. a.m. Set out from Parramatta – and arrived at Sydney at ¾ past 1. P.M.
