International Team

A specialist group of International Experts with demonstrated achievements in encouraging the integration of research and teaching and/or implementing undergraduate research through their research and scholarship and/or practice was also assembled:

  1. Professor Nancy Hensel Executive Director for the Council on Undergraduate Research, USA.
  2. Professor Mick Healey Director of the Centre for Active Learning (CeAL), a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Gloucestershire University, UK.
  3. Dr Philippa Levy Director of the Centre for Inquiry-Based Learning in Arts and Social Sciences (CILASS), a CETL at Sheffield University.
  4. Professor Mike Neary Dean of Teaching and Learning at Lincoln University, UK. He established one of the first Centres for Excellence (CETLs) in developing undergraduate Research in the UK.
  5. Professor Elaine Seymour Director Emerita of Ethnography & Evaluation Research at the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA. Elaine and her team have carried out the first in-depth research to establish the benefits, costs, and processes of undergraduate research in the USA.
  6. Professor Linda Slakey Director, Division of Undergraduate Education, National Science Foundation, USA.
