Bonding Through Coding 2025
Calling all Primary School students (grades 5 to 7) and Parents/Carers for a Coding Workshop.
- Hands-On Learning: Engage in interactive workshops and learn Processing in a fun way. You will walk away with a game that you can show to your family/friends
- Family Bonding: Explore different technologies together with your kids as a parent/carer. Parents/Carers are encouraged to stay for the first hour with the kids, and can leave after, or can stay for the duration of the workshop
- Expert Guidance: Learn from experienced lecturers and educators.
- Personalised Attention: Benefit from a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1 tutor to 4 students, ensuring individualised support.
Bonding Through Coding is a hands-on learning initiative where children and parents/carers team up to learn how to make Websites/Interactive Games in a fun, supportive environment. Build your skills together through interactive workshops, while having a blast! We wholeheartedly invite mothers to strengthen the representation of women in STEM, and we encourage fathers to get involved, too. Everyone is welcome on this fantastic journey.

Q: Who can attend the coding workshop? A: The workshop is open to students in grades 5 to 7 and all skill levels. Parents/Carers are encouraged to stay for the first hour with the kids, and can leave after, or can stay for the duration of the workshop
Q: Where is the workshop held? A: The workshop takes place in our state-of-the-art computer labs at 4 Research Park Drive, Macquarie University Campus, North Ryde.
Q: What will participants learn? A: Participants will engage in interactive workshops and practical coding challenges, covering various programming languages and technologies.
Q: Who are the instructors? A: Our workshops are led by experienced mentors and educators who provide expert guidance and support.
Q: What is the teacher-to-student ratio? A: We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1 tutor to 4 students to ensure personalised attention and individualised support.
Q: Does the student need any prior coding experience? A: No prior coding experience is required. Our workshops are designed to accommodate beginners as well as those with some coding knowledge.
Q: What should I bring to the workshop? A: All necessary equipment and materials will be provided. Just bring your lunch and willingness to learn!
