A consumer engagement research group
The CanEngage Network aims to conduct and support research to enhance healthcare equity among multicultural communities.
About the project
Members of the CanEngage Network are from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds who represent various communities in Australia. This group has been involved in several research projects being conducted by project lead Professor Reema Harrison.
Key activities include:
- cofacilitation training
- codesign facilitation
- co-authoring work
- in-language qualitative data collection.
Project participants have answered questions for our CanEngage Consumer Voices series on YouTube. Watch the episodes below:
- Part 1: What motivated you to get involved in the CanEngage project?
- Part 2: What activities did you participate in as part of CanEngage?
- Part 3: What advice do you have for involving consumers in research?
If you are interested in and passionate about engaging in health services research and promoting equity in health outcomes among people from multicultural communities, contact the network coordinator at prince.peprah@mq.edu.au to explore opportunities to join the network.
