Driving excellence in healthcare services and systems
The Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI) is home to four dynamic research centres, each dedicated to advancing healthcare innovation.
These award-winning centres serve as specialised hubs for pioneering research, each making substantial contributions to their field. They not only excel individually but also thrive through extensive collaboration with industry, government and academic partners both in Australia and internationally.
The strength of AIHI's collaborative model is further highlighted by recent research and leadership initiatives including:
- Australia’s first Medication Roundtable for Aged Care
- a centre for PBAC and MSAC evaluations for the Federal Government
- the Australian Alliance for AI in Healthcare
- the first Fujitsu AI Research Lab located in the Southern Hemisphere
- the first National Paediatric Applied Research Translation Initiative funded by the Medical Research Future Fund.
AIHI has also been home to the following flagship National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) centres:
- NHMRC Partnership Centre for Health System Sustainability
- NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Digital Health
- NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Implementation Science in Oncology.
