The Future of Corporate Responsibility: Discussion and Book Launch

8 August 2018

5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Macquarie University City Campus, Level 24, 123 Pitt Street

More and more companies are adopting a holistic approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR), tying it to their strategy and core operations, working with a broad set of stakeholders to create long-term economic and social value. As we shift away from corporate philanthropy and the narrow view of corporate responsibility, it is important to reflect on the present and future state of CSR.

A new book by Associate Professor Debbie Haski-Leventhal, Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (SAGE, 2018), provides an important combination of concepts and models with practical tools to responsible management. This event will mark the launch of the book and offer an ample opportunity to discuss where business is going globally.

The book launch will include three speakers on the present and future of CSR:
– Andrew Buay, Vice President, Group Sustainability & Talent Coach, Optus
– Professor Stephen Brammer, Executive Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics
– Associate Professor Debbie Haski-Leventhal, Author

The event will also hold networking opportunities for CSR people, students and researchers. Food and drinks will be provided.

When: 8 August 2018, 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Where: Macquarie University City Campus, Level 24, 123 Pitt Street, Sydney
RSVP: Register online before the 3 August to secure your place.

We look forward to seeing you there!
