A better you at MQ: You are what you eat

Do you want to learn how to decode food labels and understand the key aspects to being a smart shopper? In a supermarket you’ll be faced with thousands of food products with nutrition claims and numbers that make it confusing to pick what is healthy.

Following the second successful wellbeing week in 2017, we will be offering an ongoing wellbeing program for all staff. The program will be based on quarterly themes and provide sessions for staff.

Join dietitian, Juliana Chen, from the MQ Health Nutrition and Dietetics and Healthy Weight Clinic for an informative session on label reading, debunking myths around nutrition and the latest on the health-star rating system.

What we will cover in this session:

Improve your confidence in making healthier food choices
Improve your skills with reading food labels
Learn how easy it is to shop for healthy foods on a budget

Also when you register you can ask Juliana any questions you have about the confusing aspects of reading nutritional information and she will aim to address these in the session.
