The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor International is located within the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Engagement and has overall responsibility for Macquarie International, Macquarie University International College and the English Language Centre.
Macquarie International is responsible for the design and delivery of the University’s global engagement across student recruitment, academic pathways and collaboration and strategic partnerships. It is responsible for:
- Global Engagement and Business Development (international student recruitment, international strategic partnerships, international delegations and protocol and student mobility);
- International Administration (international admissions, academic programs, agent management, compliance, financial aid and sponsorships);
- International Communications (digital marketing, enquiry management and conversion, advertising, marketing services and support and publications);
Macquarie University International College (MUIC) provides Foundation and Diploma programs to prepare domestic and international students for study in undergraduate degree course.
The English Language Centre (ELC) provides a range of academic and General English courses, including discipline-specific direct entry English programs, to help prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students develop the language and study skills they need to succeed in their University studies. The ELC also operates both a paper-based and computer-delivered IELTS test centre.
