Who we are
Building on our vision to serve the world through innovation, Macquarie has opened its first Incubator on campus.
The Incubator team is comprised of passionate, experienced and engaged members, aiming to build a supportive community that encourages collaboration and fosters commercialisation.
The Pop-up Incubator is made possible by funding from the NSW Department of Industry, Skills and Regional Development through the Boosting Business Innovation Program.
How we can help you
The Pop-up Incubator is a brand new space for students, researchers, staff, small-medium sized enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurs and start ups who are working on research or an idea that can be commercialised.
We currently offer free desk space, meeting areas and instant access to the growing entrepreneurial community who share and contribute experience and resources that help early ideas grow through the difficult and vulnerable stages of development. Using our corporate links, start ups are able to connect with businesses to help accelerate this process and gain exposure to more opportunity.
What we do
The primary purpose of the Incubator is to provide a vibrant and accessible space for you to focus on your business idea.
To build an energetic ecosystem we host events such as fireside chats with industry experts, pitch competitions, speaker series, hackathons and networking events.
The Macquarie University Incubator will be relocating to permanent purpose built residence in August 2017. The new state of the art building will allow us to expand our services to offer start-ups and entrepreneurs the following services:
- Hot desks for temporary use
- Co-working desks for start-ups and entrepreneurs
- Meeting rooms
- Conferencing facilities
- Entrepreneur training programs
- Weekly social events
- Clinics and special interest group events
- Industry engagement events
