Manawari – Dharug language that means ‘discover new knowledge’.

This training is designed to motivate and build a positive knowledge position for Macquarie University staff, students, corporate and individuals.

The training is underpinned by the Macquarie University Indigenous strategy and reconciliation statement focusing on creating a better understanding of cultural values, knowledges and perspectives that will lead to greater engagement and social responsibility.

The Manawari cultural safety training program, led by Aboriginal presenters, offers an immersive learning experience through a blend of interactive face-to-face sessions and online modules.

This program is designed to deepen your understanding and respect for Aboriginal culture, enhancing cultural safety and competence in both professional and personal contexts. Testimonials

It has been an excellent course, very insightful and well balanced in how it presented historical and contemporary issues and culture. Great links to further learning also – appreciated! Awesome! The learnings keeps resonating in my mind for days on end during the online training. I think we need to keep these learnings, even micro learning moments, as regularly as we can.
