Join our team
We are searching for experienced clinical academic leaders who are interested in pursuing new paradigms in medical learning and teaching. You’ll have medical qualifications, be registered to undertake clinical practice in Australia and hold recognised Australian college speciality qualifications.
You’ll lead, develop and teach educational courses offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, in particular the innovative graduate-entry Doctor of Medicine program – the Macquarie MD.
You’ll be clinically active, preferably in one of the following areas: medicine (preferably in aged care or cognitive neurology), cardiology, or surgery (preferably in the area of cancer surgery, for example breast surgery). For early to mid-career clinical academics, any specialty area would be considered.
Shape a new generation of medical professionals
As the newest faculty at Macquarie, we’re ambitiously pushing the boundaries of progressive thinking and we’re challenging what’s possible to solve some of the big issues of our time. The faculty is part of MQ Health – the Macquarie University Health Sciences Centre – a fully integrated university-led academic health campus that brings together our own Macquarie University Hospital and clinics with the University’s academic faculties.
Heal. Learn. Discover.
MQ Health is Australia’s first university-led fully integrated health sciences centre, combining excellence in clinical care with teaching and research. Born out of the University’s strategy Our University: A Framing of Futures, MQ Health was founded to advance the tripartite mission of clinical care, learning and research. We are bold and ambitious in our pursuit of patient-centred excellence.
Our education courses have been designed to enrich well-established educational approaches with current and emerging innovations in pedagogy and clinical education. They emphasise student-centred learning, a blended delivery model, and experiential and inter-professional learning.
Our innovative, recently launched Macquarie MD (Doctor of Medicine) program integrates applied medical science with professionalism, clinical practice, research and cultural responsiveness.
Macquarie University: A great place to work
Our park-like campus, just 15 kilometres from the centre of Sydney is unrivalled. With our high-tech library, excellent transport links, cutting-edge facilities and the establishment of MQ Health, there is considerable opportunity for the growth and development of innovative research and commercial partnerships.
We invite you to join us and share our passion for innovative clinical learning and teaching.
