The Faculty of Business and Economics is pleased to announce that Professor David Silverman, Professor Emeritus in the Sociology Department at Goldsmiths College, London will be presenting a public lecture on the Quality of Interview Research.
Please join us as Professor Silverman will address the following questions:
- Why is qualitative research so often based on interviews?
- Why is so much interview research of questionable quality?
- How can we improve its credibility?

Professor David Silverman is Professor Emeritus in the Sociology Department at Goldsmiths College, London, Visiting Professor in the Management Department at King's College, University of London and the Business School, University of Technology, Sydney as well as Adjunct Professor at QUT, Faculty of Education.
He has authored 15 books and 45 journal articles on qualitative research, ethnography and conversation analysis
