Circus Studies kicks off its second year at MMCCS

Circus is in its second year at Macquarie with PERF201 Performance and Circus Studies running this semester. Dr Jon Burtt, assisted by MMCCS technical staff member Holly Robinson and new Circus Studies MRes candidate Jesse Jensen-Kohl, teach this unit and also the MQ Circus Training Group, which trains twice weekly during semesters.

Students studying circus at MMCCS come from all sorts of backgrounds and levels of experience. Hear  what they have to say about their experience:

Circus Studies Alumnus Linda Corazza

In January 2018 MMCCS and MQ Circus Training Group alumnus Linda Corazza successfully auditioned and was accepted into NICA, the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne. This is a major achievement  and we wish Linda every  success in her new circus future!  Here she is in action on the rope, the apparatus she chose for her NICA audition.

Circus students in performance

At the end of each semester the students from PERF201 and the MQ Circus Training Group put on a public performance. Check out some highlights from 2017.
