Engaging with the industry and community
The Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) program offers students the opportunity to contribute their academic learning, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective to the professional workplace by connecting with partner organisations. PACE units provide an academic framework through which students can engage with the community, learn through participation, develop their capabilities, and build on the skills that employers value.

Affiliations and memberships
Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS)
The Faculty of Arts is a member of CHASS, a Council that promotes and provides advocacy services for the humanities, arts and social sciences. The Council serves as a coordinating forum for teachers, researchers, professionals and practitioners in the sector.
History Council NSW
The Australian History Museum is a member of the History Council NSW and supports the History Week celebrations.
Sydney Latin American Film Festival
Macquarie University is a proud sponsor of the Sydney Latin American Film Festival which has been showcasing the wealth of Latin American cinema and culture to Sydney audiences since 2006.
Sydney Underground Film Festival
Macquarie University is a cultural and educational partner of the Sydney Underground Film Festival (SUFF). Films produced by Macquarie students have also been screened and awarded in SUFF events.
The Walkley Foundation
The Department of Media, Music, Communication and Cultural Studies at Macquarie is a partner of the Walkley Foundation which fosters excellence in journalism and supports a robust and independent media.
Our programs are fully compliant with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards.
Our Master of Indigenous Education program is recognised by the NSW Institute of Teachers.
Macquarie's Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor are accredited with professional bodies regulating the admission of law graduates to legal practice and provide appropriate qualification for admission to practice as a lawyer throughout Australia following completion of relevant practical training
