MQ Research Projects (Research Development Grants)
Macquarie University Research Projects aim to ensure that Macquarie researchers are competitively positioned and well supported to attract external research funding. The following grants are supported through Macquarie University Research Projects:
Research Development Grants (MQRDG)
MQRDGs assist Macquarie University staff to increase their competitiveness in attracting external research funding. The grants enable researchers to develop a research project into a viable proposal for submission to an external funding body e.g. ARC Discovery Projects, ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Awards, NHMRC Project Grants, and other Australian Competitive Grants (ACG) or significant non-ACG grants.
The submission of an application for substantial external funding by 31 December 2019 is a Condition of Award. Macquarie University must be the Administering Institution on this external application. The strategy and schedule for attracting external research funding is one of the selection criterion.
Up to $50,000 over a two year period. (max $25,000 each year)
The faculties have their own approval and review processes for grants under this scheme. They may also have deadlines for submission of draft applications that are earlier than the Research Office deadlines. Please ensure that you contact your faculty, as early as possible, for information on process and deadlines. Faculty contacts:
