Macquarie University endeavours to comply with the Information Protection Principles created by the Privacy and Personal Information protection Act PPIPA 1998 (NSW) (the "PPIPA").
Macquarie University has introduce practices and procedures to maximise compliance with the PPIPA by virtue of the

- Macquarie University Privacy Management Plan.

The University provides rights of access and alteration to personal information held of and about individuals and such rights are governed by the PPIPA and Freedom of Information Act.
