Environmental Science
Environmental Science focuses on the biophysical environment by conducting research and teaching in the areas of the atmosphere, oceans, soils, cryosphere, and the role humans play within these systems.
Welcome to the Department of Environment and Geography. The department incorporates Human Geography, Environmental Science, the Graduate School of Environment, Health Studies and Museum Studies.
Environmental Science focuses on the biophysical environment by conducting research and teaching in the areas of the atmosphere, oceans, soils, cryosphere, and the role humans play within these systems.
The Graduate School of the Environment’s work is on discovering integrative solutions to environmental problems. It offers masters degrees, postgraduate diplomas and postgraduate certificates by coursework, and two research degrees—PhD and MPhil.
Macquarie University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research studies in Health. These Health programs encourage a multi-discipline approach.
Human Geography at Macquarie University is a high performance teaching group, with award-winning teachers and student-oriented teaching. Human Geography is across such areas as social and community planning, health-care delivery, population studies, resource and environmental management, public policy development, and geographical information science.
Macquarie University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Museum Studies. The programs are unique in Australia in providing a bridge between science and arts, recognising the importance of both areas.
