Our research integrates genetic and proteomic analyses with unique cell and animal models and computer technology to explore the molecular mechanisms of disease pathogenesis and to advance patient well-being.

The Department of Biomedical Sciences explores the fundamental processes of cardiorespiratory and neuronal functions and applies sophisticated technologies to explore disease mechanisms and novel therapies.

Our two-year Bachelor of Clinical Science prepares students for a career in medicine and medical research, as well as continued study in biomedical sciences through our Master of Research and Higher Degree Research programs. The department excels at research and has a strong focus on partnerships and translational research with the potential to unlock cures and treatments for diseases and genetic disorders.
