Fun for all at Open Day

From 10am to 4pm this Saturday 12 September our campus will be abuzz with thousands of visitors for our annual Open Day. Many prospective students will be here to explore their future study options and pathways to Macquarie, however our staff community is welcome to bring the family and join in the fun.

Event highlights for staff and their families

For the kids
Visit the sports zone in the Central Courtyard – take a free ride on the trackless train, visit Lucy’s fete for face painting and balloon art, pan for gems or check out the reptile and animal handling show.

For the kids at heart
Discover how lasers work, witness the fun and colourful explosions at a chemical magic show, use an electron microscope to see what’s living on your toothbrush, and don’t forget to ride a camel!

Take a tour
See what the robotic cranes do behind the scenes at our Library, fly to Mars in our Simulation Hub and discover the museums on campus. (Don’t forget to say ‘Hi’ to Frank the Bear in the Biological Sciences Museum!)
