What is your favourite thing about working at Macquarie?
The people that I work with are amazing.

Where is your favourite place to spend a spare five minutes at Macquarie?
The Library Café.

What was your earliest childhood career aspiration?
I really wanted to become a lawyer.

In your job, what question are you most often asked?
How to make students engage with each other while working in groups?

What are the biggest misconceptions about the program you coordinate?
The biggest misconception about Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) is that we are only helping students who are failing. In reality we help all students succeed.

If you weren’t a PAL Coordinator, what would you do?
I would be a PAL Coordinator, I just love it.

What would you want to learn if given the chance to learn it instantly?
I’d like to be able to speak Mandarin and French.

Something not many people know about me is…
Even though I speak Russian I am not from Russia, and even though I speak Romanian I am not from Romania. I am actually from Moldova.

What is your favourite film, book or TV show?
My favourite film is The Blind Side and my favourite TV show is the Big Bang Theory.

If money were no object, what would you like to achieve?
I would help people around the world who are in need.

What were you doing before you started these questions?
I was writing a report.
