Beginning Saturday 4 June, the University GP Clinic will open on Saturdays from 8.30am to 12.30pm. The clinic is available to Macquarie staff and students, as well as the general public.

Could you please inform us how much a University staff member has to pay for a standard GP consultation, as bulk-billing is no longer available.

A standard GP consultation will cost $67 and your Medicare rebate is $37.05 (this is organised at the front desk). With all consultations we have structured our fees so you are between $30-$40 “out of pocket”. For an appointment on a Saturday morning we have added an additional $10 surcharge so your consultation fee would be $77.
