Two ways to access your 2018-19 Payment Summary from 14 July

This year, in addition to accessing your Payment Summary in HR Online, you’ll also be able to directly access your payment summary information as an Income Statement via the myGov online portal.

How can I access my income statement?
Your income statement will be available in your myGov account by 14 July. You’ll be notified by the Australian Tax Office (ATO) when your income statement is available via your MyGov email. When your income statement from Macquarie University is displayed as “Tax Ready”, your 2019 tax information is complete and will be pre-filled in your tax return.

To view your income statement:
– Log into myGov
– Select Australian Tax Office
– Select View my Income Statements

What if I don’t have a myGov account?
Find out how to get one here, or contact the Australian Tax Office on 13 28 61 to request a copy of your income statement.

Why has this changed?
All Australian employers including Macquarie University are moving to Single Touch Payroll (STP). STP is a new and more streamlined way to report your pay, tax and superannuation information to the ATO each time you’re paid.

Will I still be able to access my payment summary in HR Online?
Your 2018-19 payment summary will still be available in HR Online, from 14 July. You can find this by navigating to My Pay > Payroll Details > Payment Summary and clicking on the Serial# link.
