In their special Research report, published on 24 September, The Australian names the nation’s top research performers based on citations in top journals in each field.

Lifetime Achievers

Distinguished Professor Ian Paulsen (pictured) is named among Australia’s top five researchers in Life Sciences and Earth Sciences for his groundbreaking work in microbiology and microbial genomics. Distinguished Professor Paulsen is the Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology.
