An election for the two academic staff positions on the University Council was recently held online.

The two current academic staff representatives, Associate Professor Wylie Bradford and Professor Catherine Dean, were both successfully re-elected for a further two year term to Council (1 January 2020 to 31 December 2021).

Professor Dean – who won the Vice-Chancellor’s Educational Leader Award at last month’s Academic Staff Awards – says she is honoured to be re-elected to Council.

“Macquarie University – like other universities – is facing challenging times. I look forward to working with the new Chancellor, Dr Martin Parkinson, and Council to positively shape  and ensure Macquarie University’s future for our students, staff and the wider community.”
