Do you wish your students submitted assignments with stronger arguments, or that were better structured?
Well, we have good news for you. Learning Skills is excited to announce two new peer support programs available now for all students.
WriteWISE
The WriteWISE program connects MQ students with trained peer writing leaders. Students can chat to a WriteWISE leader at our Library drop-in desk and/or join a weekly writing group.
The WriteWISE drop-in desk
All coursework students (UG and PG) can get help unpacking their assessment task or receive feedback on their draft assignment from WriteWISE Leaders – who understand how to structure academic writing within the various disciplines and can respond to student’s queries from a peer perspective.
Where: Library Info Desk (Level 2)
When: Mon – Thurs 11am to 5pm and Fri 11am to 4pm
Who: All UG and PG coursework students
Shut up & WriteWISE writing group
For those students who find it hard to motivate themselves to sit and write their assignment, these one-hour weekly writing sessions use goal-setting strategies to maximise a student’s productivity within a social setting. Free snacks are also provided.
Where: Library Training Room M4.03 (Level 4)
When: Mon at 11am, Tues at 1pm, Wed at 11am, Thurs at 12pm and 2pm, Fri at 2pm
Who: All UG and PG coursework students
