Get your free blood pressure check for May Measurement Month

High blood pressure (hypertension) is a silent killer. It is the number one contributing risk for global death, and yet only half the people who have high blood pressure are aware they have it.

May Measurement Month (MMM) is an international campaign that began in 2017, led by the International Society of Hypertension and endorsed by the World Hypertension League. To raise awareness of this important campaign, free blood pressure checks will be provided on campus during the week of May 27-31.

Screening stations will be set up at two locations:
* 12–2pm: 18 Wally’s Walk
* 2–4pm: Lincoln Lawn

In MMM 2017, in Australia alone, 18 per cent of the 3000+ participants with high blood pressure who were not receiving treatment were identified. Blood pressure measurement is simple, and this simple measure can save lives.
