Most This Week readers will know something about Program Beacon – a key transformation initiative happening across at Macquarie to support the implementation of our new 2020 curriculum.

Updates and articles around various aspects of the Program have been shared with staff since February. However, as we move closer to the opening of our 2020 enrolments and get ready to migrate students across to the new structure we know there’s quite a few MQ people out there who want to know just a little bit more.

If that’s you, why not think about subscribing to Beacon Bytes, a fortnightly newsletter published by the Program Beacon team and focussed on providing more detailed project updates to the University community around the following transformation activity that’s currently underway:

• Curriculum Management System (CMS) and CourseFinder Replacement Project
• Student Management System (SMS) AMIS Cloud Upgrade Project
• Student Curriculum Implementation Project (SCIP) (Technical and Migration)

Program Beacon aligns with the Student Success Strategic Framework launched last month and aside from the above, also incorporates streams of work around e-student login and a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to replace Tracker and webforms. So, there’s something in Beacon Bytes for everyone!
