With the title of Director of Student and Academic Business Transformation, you can imagine what a busy man Brad Windon has been of late.
As part of the huge team of Macquarie staff working on Program Beacon, Brad was recently at the centre of an important milestone: the publishing of our refreshed suite of courses on Coursefinder, a key channel for future students seeking course information.

“Updating Coursefinder is a big job even in a normal year,” notes Brad. “But this year everyone involved really stepped up a level to translate all our new curriculum into course information that is easy to understand, and that highlights how we’ve built employability into our new programs. Everyone involved in this year’s Coursefinder update – including staff in Macquarie International, Group Marketing, Future Students, Student Administration, and IT –should take a huge bow.”

To view 2020 courses, visit courses.mq.edu.au and select ‘Starting in 2020’ in the top right drop down.

1) In a nutshell, my job is to…
Work with people to make things work better.

2) The question I hear most often in my work is…
“How are we going to do that?”

3) The thing I find most rewarding in my role is…
Learning about people’s particular expertise and understanding how that might inform the way we do things.

4) This year I want to…
Run more.

5) The bravest thing I’ve done is…
Running away from the things that weren’t right for me.

6) A place that’s special to me is…
The trees that I sit under in the park at the end of my regular run.

7) My mother/father always told me…
“…but you might like to think what makes someone respond like that.”

8) My guilty pleasure is…
I rarely feel guilty. Some have said this is a character flaw.

9) My hidden talent is…
I quite like knitting.

10) Something I’ve never done but wanted to try is…
Run a marathon.
