LEAP Partnership Engagement Grant Scheme (PEGS)

Widening Participation is now inviting Expressions of Interest for the 2019 LEAP PEGS initiative.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor Programs and Pathways has allocated $200,000 of Higher Education Partnerships and Pathways Program  funding to be available for the 2019 LEAP Partnership Engagement Grant Scheme (PEGS).

The Widening Participation Unit (WPU) is now welcoming expressions of interest from applicants interested in developing and piloting initiatives in 2019 that encourage the access, engagement, retention and positive impact of student study and university experiences.

LEAP PEGS was introduced in 2018 as part of the Widening Participation Strategic Framework 2018 – 2020. The initiative seeks to expand the University’s network of collaborative partnerships and create more empowering opportunities for underrepresented and disadvantaged students.

LEAP PEGS successfully supported twelve pilot programs in 2018 that were delivered by an array of teams across the University. Collectively, LEAP PEGS recipient programs engaged over 17,000 students and achieved the objectives outlined by the Government’s HEPPP funding guidelines.

Following the success of LEAP PEGS in 2018, the WPU is now inviting submissions for the 2019 LEAP PEGS program.
