Open for comment: pesticide use Notification Plan for Macquarie

A draft Notification Plan for pesticide use in outdoor areas of Macquarie University’s North Ryde campus is currently on exhibition on our website.

The plan has been prepared and placed on exhibition in accordance with the requirements of the NSW Pesticides Regulation 2009. This regulation was amended to include land managed by universities in 2018.

From now until Friday 28 September, the University community can view and provide feedback on the plan and everyone is encouraged to learn about Macquarie’s approach to pesticide use on our grounds.

Macquarie University works to ensure that pesticides are applied to public places in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with legislation.
