Professor Marc De Vos, currently Vice-Dean at Ghent University Law School in Belgium and fractional full professor at Curtin University Law School, has been appointed as the new Dean of the Macquarie Law School.

A highly-reputed scholar, Professor De Vos has an impressive record in cross-disciplinary, collaborative and impact-oriented research. His areas of expertise broadly cover the world of work, inclusiveness, and citizenship.

Professor De Vos has served as a Professor and Guest Professor at several top-ranking universities in Europe, North America and China. He has a particularly successful track-record in leadership and management, through senior roles in academia, legal practice, and the think-tank world.

Faculty of Arts Executive Dean Professor Martina Möllering said Professor De Vos joins Macquarie with a proven ability to inspire and enable excellence, performance and innovation.

“I wish to very warmly thank Prof Ben Schreer for his work in the position of Acting Dean of Macquarie Law School. Ben will kindly continue in this role until Marc commences with us on Monday 15 October 2018.”
