Professors Kevin Jameson, DVC (Academic) and Sean Brawley, PVC (Programs and Pathways) will continue to work closely with the Chair of Academic Senate and Senators, as well as Executive Group and all major stakeholder across campus to ensure the next time-critical stages in the curriculum transformation process are achieved.
Dr Leanne Holt, PVC (Indigenous Strategy) and her team have launched Macquarie’s first Aboriginal Cultural Safety Training initiative that will assist in driving the Indigenous Strategy and encourage the positive changes necessary for a culturally empowering environment.

Ms JoAnne Sparks, University Librarian, and Library staff have welcomed new and returning students for the start of Session 2. The Library is in the final stages of plans to ensure that core services for clients will be maintained during the Station Closure.
In July, we farewelled and thanked Professor Sherman Young for his huge contribution to learning, teaching and student experience over the past four and a half years. Sherman is heading off on a year of research, before returning to the University’s Department of Media Music Communication and Cultural Studies. Read Teche’s tribute to Sherman Young >>
As we finalise the recruitment of a new PVC (Learning & Teaching), PACE will report to the DVC (Academic), the Learning Innovation Hub will report to the PVC (Programs & Pathways), and Careers will report to the Executive Director (Student Engagement & Registrar) for the interim period.
These activities reflect the reach and impact of a few of the portfolio’s activities, that are underpinned by collaboration and engagement with the University community.
