As part of the university’s power and data cabling upgrade works currently underway, power will need to be switched off in several buildings this Sunday 15 July*.

Representatives from each affected building have been informed and have advised the occupants. As a final reminder on Friday 13 July before going home, it’s a good idea to remove all perishable items from fridges and unplug accessible electrical equipment (computers, appliances). Please don’t enter the affected buildings during the power shutdown.

There will be no electrical power to these locations only:

• Campus Common (6:30am to 4:30pm – note the Common will not open at all on Sunday 15 July)
• 12 Second Way (6:30am to 4:30pm)
• 14 Second Way (6:30am to 4:30pm)
• 17 Wally’s Walk (6:30am to 4:30pm)

All buildings affected will have power restored ready to resume operation as normal on Monday 16 July.

We appreciate your patience over this period. For further information please email campusdevelopment@mq.edu.au.
