Project works have commenced to replace the Mechanical Plant, which currently provides cooling only to the teaching theatres located in building E7B. This plant is located on the external balcony at the western end of the building. Work is programmed to continue over the winter period, with the expectation of having the replacement plant functioning by late September.

E7B theatres 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, T100 and T200 and rooms 202 and 204 will be disconnected from the chilled water supply during the dry cooler months of the year, from late May through to late September. Normal ventilation and heating to all spaces will remain available throughout the construction period.
